Unwarped thinking

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. Psalm 57:1

– All you can feel are the wings around you, you can’t see or witness the storm outside. Be content with the wings and the shelter and snuggle deep.

Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.  Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,  but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1Cor 1:20-24

– why do you want proof? what would prove it to you?  If you have run away or rebelled, come humbly home to the loving Father. No, it makes no earthly sense and that is where Satan will be waiting to trick you…

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2Co 10:4-5

– that means every thought. Who’s thoughts? Your thoughts!  They belong to Christ, if you leave them pounding round your head they will wear you out and wear you down.
